A bit about me...
My name is Almira Roldan, but my friends call me "Myra". I am an Instructional Designer/System Enginneer, which means I can create interactive training modules either from scratch for based on traditional learning materials and I can manage your network and servers at the same time. Now that's talent! But, what I enjoy the most is graphic and web design, as this allows me to unleash my inner creative beast. I have contributed to many web designs and have been the sole designer of many projects. I'm unable to publish all my work as most of it belongs to the organizations they were created for. There's lots to add...so much to do, so little time.
A little on my background, just in case you are interested. I hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Network Technology from Capella University, a Master's in Education (Instructional Technology) from University of Bridgeport and am currently pursing my MBA from Capella University. My IT specialization is in Microsoft systems...which means I keep busy.
In my spare time, I run a small business, Beautiful Diva with helped me earn a spot on the Oprah Winfrey Show as a Finalist in her search for the Next Big Idea! in May 2007 (I was 1 of 8 chosen out of 6500 - remember that it might be a trivia question that might win you millions). Today, my company offers a direct sales opportunity that is very unique. We launched a Representative Program in March 2008 and as of today, June 11, 2008, we have over 450 reps internationally and several wholesale/private label accounts to manage. Just something I do on the side - you know what I mean.
All in all, I'm just your average woman with tons of ambition! Take a few minutes and browse around. I just might impress you!
The Fairy Godmother Initiative
The Fairy Godmother Initiative is prom dress drive was a great success. Two dress boutique days were held, the first on April 12th @ Lauralton Hall and the second on April 26th @ Sacred Heart. We outfitted hundreds of girls with a free dress for prom. Remaining dresses were donated to a church organization that would continue offering the dresses free of charge. Food items were collected during the first event; we collected 14 cases of food. Baby items were collected during the second drive and we collected 6 cases of goods. All goods were donated to the Beth-El Center in Milford, CT. Visit our webpage at www.fairygodmother.weebly.com to read more about our efforts.
